Roger visits Grand Rapids

From the 19th-22nd August Roger was at the van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids in the USA. He was there as part of the committee of the Cure Parkinson’s Trust funded Linked Clinical Trials committee. This committee seeks to prioritise drugs tht are already in clinical use for consideration of new trials for disease modification in PD. In addition he chaired an international meeting that brought together all those who have undertaken work with GDNF in PD to see whether it had a future. A lively 2 day workshop with teams from Europe and the USA/Canada debated this issue. The conclusion was further work needs to be done with this agent in PD.
